How do you calculate the right amount of paint?
Step 1: Calculate the area of the walls by multiplying width and height.
- Width X Height = … m²
Step 2: Calculate the area of the windows and doors, again by multiplying width and height by each other.
- width X height = … m²
Step 3: subtract the area of the windows and doors from the area of the walls.
- area walls – area windows and doors = … m
Step 4: multiply that number of m² by two. After all, we always recommend two coats of paint for a perfect end result.
- Surface area X 2 = … m²
Step 5: Divide the number of m² obtained in this way by 10.
- m² : 10 = … liters of paint
With one liter of wall paint you can paint an average of 10 m², so this formula will certainly do the trick. Keep in mind that each type of paint has a different yield and that the quality of the paint also plays a role. Check the product page of this site for all the details.
