HERBOLUX AQUA PU SATIN

Water-dilutable PU silk gloss lacquer, top quality.

Water-dilutable, silk-gloss and high-covering intermediate and final coat for all types of wood, pre-treated metals, hard plastics and old paint layers, for indoor use.

Application

Indoors as an intermediate coat and as a top coat on all pre-treated wood substrates, on all surfaces hard paintable plastics (PVC, …), on pre-treated metals.

VOC EU limit value: EU limit value for this product (cat. A/d): 150 g/L (2007) – 130 g/L (2010). This product contains max. 120 g/L VOC.

Solids content: In volume about 36 %; by weight approx. 51 %

Processing conditions

Apply at least 10 °C for substrate and air temperature during and after the processing.

Theoretical return: Chinex brush – lacquer felt roller approx. 10 m²/l per layer

Drying times (at 23°C and 50% RH)

Dust-dry: after approx. 2 h – Tack-free: after approx. 4 h

Can be painted over: after approx. 4 to 6 hours

Thoroughly dry: after approx. 1 to 2 days

Note: water-dilutable lacquers can be painted over after the aforementioned time. Best however, a result is achieved if you wait up to 3 days before applying the next coat of paint bring.

General

Ensure adequate ventilation during and after application. When spraying: do not spray mist inhale. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.

When working on paint layers such as sanding, welding, burning off, etc., hazardous dust particles and/or vapors are released. Work in a well-ventilated area. Usage appropriate self-protection equipment when necessary.

System structure

All paintwork and necessary pre-treatments must be applied to the object adapted: ie they must be adapted to the condition, the performance requirements and the conditions to which they are exposed.

Wood

Sand the substrate and wash off resinous and/or greasy surfaces with a nitro- dilution.

Note: Highly bleeding and/or resinous woods, after cleaning and washing with nitro- dilution, prime with Herbol-HERBOLUX-GRUND ZQ.

Primer: Apply 1 coat of Herbol-HYDROPRIMER and let it dry

Interlayer: 1 layer Herbol-HERBOLUX AQUA PU SATIN

Finish: finish with Herbol-HERBOLUX AQUA PU SATIN

Yzer and steel

Thoroughly de-rust and degrease the surface.

Primer: 1 × Herbol HYDROPRIMER

Interlayer: 1 × Herbol-HERBOLUX AQUA PU SATIN

Finish: finish with Herbol-HERBOLUX AQUA PU SATIN

Non-ferrous metals (zinc, galva,) and

hard PVC

Wet sand the surfaces with an abrasive sponge (Scotch Brite) and slightly ammoniacal water

(10% µg). + a little detergent.

Rinse well.

Primer: Apply 1 coat of Herbol-HYDROPRIMER and allow to dry.

Interlayer: 1 layer Herbol-HERBOLUX AQUA PU SATIN

Finish: finish with Herbol-HERBOLUX AQUA PU SATIN

Note: galvanized surfaces at least 2 primer coats with Herbol-HYDROPRIMER (min 80 µm

dry film thickness)

Aluminium

Degrease very thoroughly with a nitro thinner and sand with a scouring pad.

Primer: Apply 1 × Herbol-HYDROPRIMER and let it dry

interlayer: 1 × Herbol-HERBOLUX AQUA PU SATIN

Finish: finish with Herbol-HERBOLUX AQUA PU SATIN
