GLOBACRYLIC FAÇADE

Silk gloss wall paint based on 100% acrylic resins for exterior walls

GLOBACRYL FAÇADE is a satin gloss wall paint based on 100 % acrylate copolymers in dispersion and is suitable for exterior walls

FEATURES – USE

• Is suitable for the protection and decoration of facades in brick, cement, concrete and fiberboard and also suitable for plaster, fiber cement, wood, non-ferrous metals, rigid PVC, etc…

• Is permeable to water vapor ( sd < 0.2 m ) but prevents water ingress, waterproof against driving rain

• Due to its viscosity and adapted structure, it can fill small defects in the substrate and retains a high decorative finish final aspect

• in many cases also as one-pot system used

• Is self-cleaning , so easy to maintain and at the same time extends the life of the treated materials

• Contains an adhesion promoter and can therefore be used as an adhesion primer on a facade treated with an alkyd (lacquer)

• Has seen its specific pigments and fillers, stable colors even after aging

• Scrub-resistant according to DIN EN 13300, class 1

• High opacity ( Best in class compared to other comparable facade paints)

• Very easy to process

• Unsaponifiable

• Carbonation inhibiting

SUBSTRATES AND PAINT SYSTEMS

Always apply GLOBACRYL FAÇADE on a dust-free, coherent substrate, without grease or oils.

Adapt the pre-treatment to the nature of the substrate in order to obtain good adhesion.

Substrate pre-treatment

unpainted

• Wall saltpeter or salt efflorescence or loose particles: brush dry.

• If necessary: ​​clean the surface with high-pressure cleaning.

• Treat algae and mosses with POLYFILLA PRO S705 ; Leave to act for 24 hours (repeat the treatment if necessary). Dry brush off to remove any residues of green deposits, fungi and algae.

• No rinsing is required, which ensures a prolonged effect.

• Repair tears and cracks with Polyfilla Pro X300 .

• Repair bad jointing.

• Apply 1 coat of GLOBAPRIM HYDROFIX or GLOBAPRIM FIX or GLOABAPRIM HYDRO . In the presence of salt rash at preferred GLOBAPRIM FIX.

• For aerated concrete : apply 1 coat of GLOBAPRIM HYDRO .

• Concrete: apply 1 coat of GLOBAPRIM HYDRO or GLOBAPRIM HYDROFIX .

Pre-painted surfaces in good condition

• Clean the surface with high-pressure cleaning or washing. Possibly using Polyfilla Pro S600 .

• Treat the presence of algae and mosses with POLYFILLA PRO S705 ; Leave to act for 24 hours, (if necessary the repeat treatment). Dry brush to remove any residues of green deposits, fungi and algae to become.

• No rinsing is required, which ensures a prolonged effect.

• Untreated parts, absorbent or powdery surfaces: prime with GLOBAPRIM HYDROFIX .

• Existing facade paints in good condition, acrylic or latex type: apply a layer of GLOBAPRIM HYDRO .

• Existing paint systems based on alkyd binder: application of a first layer of GLOBACRYL FAÇADE as an adhesive primer.

Previously painted surfaces in poor condition:

• Remove and brush off non-adherent layers or loose parts.

• Treat the presence of algae and mosses with POLYFILLA PRO S705 ; Leave to act for 24 hours, (if necessary the repeat treatment). Dry brush to remove any residues of green deposits, fungi and algae to become

 

TECHNICAL NOTE

• No rinsing is required, which ensures a prolonged effect.

• Preferably clean the surface with high-pressure cleaning.

• Fill cracks and fissures using Polyfilla Pro X300 .

• Repair damaged joints.

• Non-coherent and powdery substrates or bare areas: apply a coat of GLOBAPRIM HYDROFIX or GLOBAPRIM

FIX .

Finish

• Apply 2 coats of GLOBACRYL FAÇADE to full opacity.

Remark

• Do not use on surfaces where water may collect after rain or which are subject to permanent exposure to water.

PROCESSING THE PRODUCT

Drying time at 20°C and 60% RH

• Dry (dust dry): 1 hour

• Paintable: 6 hours

Processing conditions

• Substrate Temperature: min. 10°C

• Ambient temperature: min. 10°C

• Relative humidity: Max. 80%

Processing and dilution

• Brush and roll: Do not dilute

• Syringe

• Conventional: Max. dilute 10% with water

• Airless: do not dilute. Pressure 160 to 180 bar – opening: 15/80 or 17/80
